The displacement of people from rural to urban zones following escalation of armed and intercommunity conflicts resulted in growing food, water shortages as well as youth delinquency. Moreover, the recent Great lakes regional political disturbance and periodic natural volcanic calamities aggravate the prevailing food insecurity. To solve this problem, SERVING company is launching a chicken coop project to supply meat, eggs, chicks and chickens, enhance youth capacity and build a supply network to drive our solution to remote communities. Our action reduces losses which chicken sellers used to have by 10%, reduces the price of poultry products from 30 % to 15% as well as create job opportunity for 8 % of young females in KARISIMBI district.
It is for this reason that we submit this fundraising so that we may contribute to the struggle against hunger, poverty and youth delinquency.
