Seizure Assistant is a mobile application developed by a Person Living with Epilepsy (PWE) to be a health management and experience-sharing platform which also allows PWEs to get help in times of need. When a PWE senses an oncoming seizure, they can push a “Panic Button” on the application, which sends the phone into the “Panic State”.
For those who don’t get a warning before a seizure, children, and those without smartphones, a Neuro Detector and smartwatch will work in sync for Seizure Detection, running on the same system. The Neuro Detector worn behind the ear like a Bluetooth earpiece will monitor electric activity in the brain, and when a seizure is detected, it will trigger the smartwatch into a “Panic State”.
While in “Panic State”, the application sends a pre-set SOS message, with the PWE’s geolocation included, to set emergency contacts while playing an SOS sound, on the phone or watch, to capture the attention of the people around then displays the First Aid instructio
