Safari Therapy and Rehabilitation (STAR) is a rehabilitation social enterprise established in 2025 in Karatu, Arusha, Tanzania, to address the significant gap in access to rehabilitation services for children and adults living with disabilities. STAR provides affordable, community-based, and sustainable rehabilitation solutions that improve independence, participation, and quality of life.

Many people with disabilities in Tanzania face barriers to accessing rehabilitation services due to high treatment costs, long travel distances to urban centers, limited availability of assistive devices, and low awareness of rehabilitation services. These challenges often result in delayed intervention, worsening disabilities, reduced educational participation, unemployment, and increased dependence on caregivers.

STAR improves the lives of people with disabilities through accessible therapy services, affordable assistive devices, and community-based rehabilitation programs that promote indep
