Rahat is an open-source, blockchain-based platform designed to help marginalized communities build resilience against climate shocks. Targeting smallholder farmers, migrant laborers, and other vulnerable groups with limited access to finance, Rahat utilizes blockchain technology to provide anticipatory financial response and recovery. Rahat delivers cash and voucher assistance (CVA) via blockchain tokens directly to beneficiaries’ phones, enabling efficient, transparent aid distribution. Smart contracts trigger vouchers and early warning messages based on set parameters, ensuring proactive interventions before disasters. Our platform has impacted over 20,000 vulnerable beneficiaries across Nepal, Indonesia, and Pakistan, providing digital literacy to 3,000+ individuals.
