Compare this to a 10 minute telemedicine consultation that requires no travel and waiting time. This is a 90% time saving for patients combined with reduced congestion in health facilities. The average expenditure per outpatient visit in Uganda is 40 USD compared to USD 20 per telemedicine encounter. This is a 50% cost savings per visit.
