River Range Roses Flower farming

We are a Zimbabwean based small scale farm. We grow fresh cut flowers for export and local sales. Our current product mix includes roses grown in a greenhouse), protea pincushions and safari sunset. We recently started trials for carnations and gypsophilia which we look foward to introducing to our prodct mix. All flowers are currently grown on 1.4 Hectares. For the last and current season we have exported on average 100 000 stems of protea pincushions and safari sunset to Holland.
Our business has potential to produce more stems per season for both export and local markets. Our medium term plans are to
1. Set up a wholesale flower market in Harare where we can market our flowers as well as take in produce from other small scale farmers to market on their behalf on commission.
2. To secure more land in order to increase hectrage and varieties of our cut flowers.
