Rangelands Reseeding Solutions Restoring Rangelands, Enriching Livelihoods

Rangelands Reseeding Solutions works with communities to restores degraded arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs). We aggregate and certify indigenous lowland grass and tree seeds and use them for ecological restoration through the innovative biochar infused seedballs that regenerate pasture lands, biodiversity, restore soils and provide nutritious fodder for livestock. To date, we have aggregated over 30 tons of seeds and restored 50000 hectares of arid lands. Our model is community centered and we currently work with 15000 community members in fodder farming to aggregate indigenous grass seeds, gums and resins groups to collect tree seeds and the wider community to harvest the invasive prosopis juliflora. We are transitioning into the biochar carbon removal credits markets to finance our ecological restoration efforts. We combine local knowledge with science, leverage carbon markets and partnerships and blockchain for transparency to deliver large-scale impact.
