We identified that fisher-folks in Ghana have difficulty accessing profitable markets for their fish products due to unfair pricing with middlemen, lack of promoting platforms for their products and lack of cold logistics to expand the lifetime of the fish product. This relates to post-harvest and financial losses. As a result, a lot of fisher-folk drop off and others have difficulty living a better life.
As a solution, our company developed Lojaanor, meaning fish market in Ga local dialect. Lojaanor is a supply chain platform that provides direct access to a profitable market for fisher-folk by short-cutting the long chain and providing cold logistics to avoid post harvest losses. Lojaanor creates a win-win opportunity as fisherfolk have access to a ready market while customers can get a constant supply of wholesome variety of fish at their own convenience.
