Pricewice has set up an online and over-the-phone platform where farmers who often have phones, but no internet access, can call and update their profiles with what crops they have available, where and for what price. This information will then be processed by the system, to inform the closest transporters to the farmer to ease transportation, but also buyers of the said commodity.
To enable us do this efficiently, we have started collecting data from farmers, transporters and buyers. We currently have a database of 2500 farmers, 300 transporters and 100 buyers.
We plan to increase this database to 100,000 farmers within the next 3 years.
