Textile dyeing is responsible for ~20% of global industrial water pollution and consumes up to 140 liters of water per kg of fabric, creating rising environmental and regulatory pressure for manufacturers. PigmentOCO replaces water entirely with supercritical CO₂, enabling waterless dyeing for natural fibers, starting with cotton, something existing CO₂ technologies have not achieved at scale. By engineering dye–fiber interactions through green chemistry, we eliminate wastewater, reduce chemical and dye consumption, and improve process efficiency. Our impact is systemic: zero effluent, lower toxicity, reduced resource use, and improved cost-efficiency for textile producers. Existing players like DyeCoo focus on polyester, while Deven Supercriticals still rely on water-based steps. Alternatives such as Colorifix and Everdye improve chemistry but do not eliminate water. PigmentOCO removes water from dyeing entirely, aligning environmental impact with industrial performance.
