PAAR was founded by Paulina Villalpando in Mexico City in 2003. It is one of the first independent jewelry brands in Mexico and has evolved, along with the fashion scene in Mexico, to become a leading brand in the industry. The brand’s pieces are manufactured in silver .925, gold and platinum, with natural gems. In its fine jewelry line, PAAR promotes the use of metals and reused and recycled stones. PAAR’s three main sources of income are: production of fine jewelry on demand, online sales, and jewelry repairs and transformations to lengthen its useful life. At PAAR we aspire to be a 100% sustainable luxury firm. Our goal is that by 2025 we can produce all the pieces with recycled or sustainably sourced metals, and with traceable gems from mines or cooperatives with high social and environmental standards.
