Nyumbao is a furniture venture based in Tanzania that offers sustainable, modular, and affordable locally-made furniture as an alternative to costly imports and low-quality informal products. Our flat-pack logistics model, functional design, and direct-to-customer approach (showroom + e-commerce + delivery with optional assembly) position us to meet the growing demand of a rising middle class.

This is a proven business model, already validated in other markets such as Europe, now adapted to local needs and opportunities. Tanzania is the leading country in the region in terms of circular wood production, offering strong potential for sustainable sourcing and scalable operations.

We aim to reduce import dependency (USD 24M in 2022), create skilled jobs, and promote circular economy practices through partnerships with Tanzanian artisans.

We are now seeking strategic investors to launch production and expand regionally across East Africa.
