We built OneCity to help cities realise their plans for urban transformation. 15 of the world’s fastest-growing cities are in Africa. If growing cities can channel development into well-connected areas with good local amenities, then congestion, pollution, and inequality will be reduced. Private developers are an important part of the transformation, but they don’t always know where the city wants development. Lengthy paper processes and poor data access shut out local developers and make important projects unfeasible. OneCity saves developers time and money by bringing together the data they need into a single tool where they can quickly compare opportunities. It makes city plans transparent so that developers can align their applications and increase likelihood of approval. It can be integrated into local authority systems to support land use planning and the move to a fully digital process. 15% of development budget is spent at the pre-investment stage – this is our market.
