Problem:
Increasing Poverty levels, hunger, malnutrition triggered by conflicts and unsustainable land use
Malnutrition:
From 2019 to 2022, the number of undernourished people grew by as many as 150 million, a crisis driven largely by conflict, climate change, and the COVID-19 pandemic. In Uganda 17.72 million (35%) children are stunted.
Poverty:
Today, over 735 million people live in extreme poverty (below $1.90 a day). In Uganda 41% of the population are in this category
