We are Mushlabs, a place where diverse minds work together to provide solutions for the future. The Future, two simple words that we hear all the time. But they can mean a lot, and to most, very different things. Our dream is that everyone, whether close or far, wealthy or poor, at peace or in conflict, has access to sustainable, nutritious food.
We at Mushlabs are working hard for this cause with the help of the fungi kingdom. Here, we use fermentation to grow the roots of mushrooms called mycelium in bioreactors – using little land, no pesticides and no fertilizers. The bioreactors allow us to produce locally, year-round and fresh. A circular process designed to upcycle byproducts from the agri-food industry gives us a min. ecological footprint. The meat replacements we have developed are rich in protein and fibre with lots of micro-nutrients from the mushrooms. We are not only focused on providing meat alternatives, but increasing access to healthy, sustainable and nutritious food
