Across many farming communities, up to 30–40% of grain is lost after harvest due to slow manual shelling, labour shortages, and lack of access to machinery. For smallholder families, these losses mean reduced income, food insecurity, and missed economic opportunities. While production has improved over the years, post-harvest handling remains one of the weakest links in the food system. Munda addresses this gap through mobile, diesel-powered grain shelling and post-harvest services delivered directly to farmers in their villages. Our machines process up to one tonne per hour, helping farmers protect more of their harvest, reduce labour, and access markets faster. Instead of farmers traveling long distances for services, we bring the service to them. So far, we have supported over 100 farmers and processed more than 40–50 tonnes of small grains, while creating technical jobs for rural youth trained as machine operators and coordinators.
