In Mindpedia we focus on the ability, not the disability, we evaluate the strengths of the person with a dignity perspective. Our methodology is based on the assessment of 4 dimensions:quality of life, cognitive, social, and motor skills. This evaluation includes standardized tests that generate quantitative and qualitative results; we design an autonomy developmental plan based on their skills potential and profile. Given that most of the neuropsychological tests are not designed for adults with intellectual disabilities, we have been motivated to innovate on techniques and tools to effectively assess capabilities. After assessing 100 persons, we have discovered that they have potential to meet their life goals of studying, working, and living a full life provided with the necessary tools according to their skills profile. We would like to share this knowledge with the most health practitioners possible, through this fellowship we want to take our experience to the next level.
