INTRODUCTION
The DRC has the capability to feed over 2 billion people in the world, yet most farmers are smallholder farmers who lack funding for farming machinery and for storage facilities in order to undertake major agricultural productions. Crops, livestock and fishery have such high potential, yet because of a lack of harvesting machinery and farm storage facilities, unharvested fields and uncultivated arable lands are restricting a sustainable agricultural growth in the country.
LYLA FOOD Operations
Our new venture is aiming to offer end-to-end services of planting, harversting, and storage to smallholder farmers in rural Kinshasa, and eventually across the DRC, whilst at the same time, processing our own in-house agricultural produce. We can achieve this by financing professional farming machinery and constructing storage facilities.
