In the department of San Marcos, in the west of the country, the company is developing, implementing, and operating renewable energy solutions to rural villages disconnected from the grid. The have successfully installed one mini hydroelectric plant and are now in search of debt (US$4.1 million) in order to buy and install two new plants that will cater to 19 other villages. Feasibility studies have been done for both plants and the economic model proves that it is viable both financially and socially.
