Luwan Company Limited is an agribusiness that deals with yoghurt production within Naivasha, Kenya. It buys it milk from small scale farmers within Naivasha and it’s environs who can’t access market and in most cases they are exploited by intermediaries. By adding value to their milk we increase the amount of price their milk is going to fetch. Most youths who has previously been discouraged to venture into the milk farming are going to venture into it due to increased income from the industry. There has been surplus supply of milk within Naivasha which prompted us to venture into the industry. In addition to this we’ve been able to provide jobs to many youths both directly and indirectly. We intend to use technology to improve our efficiency and to cut off unscrupulous intermediaries who have always exploited the farmers. Despite the covid19 epidemic we’ve been able to thrive and increase our profitability during the period.
