Senegal currently faces important challenges in term of nutrition, crop valorization and social integration. According to the FAO, around 30% of food-crop production is lost after harvest in Senegal (Report 2023), and 17% of the Senegalese population remains in food insecurity (Data 2024).
LHC, through its subsidiaries, value and transform local grains.
SN2I (revenue : 3,5M€) trade both local and international production, for human and animal needs.
STA (revenue : 700K€) runs 2 factories and produces, with its partner, the traditional Thiakry.
By provide a highly nutritive and affordable product, STA aims to enable people to get fed for less than 1$/day.
90% of STA factories are woman, 40% are below 35.

The Senegalese market is lightly organized and standardized. There is a lack of offer on the cattle feed market and the agribusiness remains sparsely developed. A large part of the local row commodities are sold and transformed abroad for high-value-added products.
