We are solving the problem of out-of-pocket medical spending by Nigerians.
Medical bills in Nigeria are high and people are usually not covered for. These bring stress and burden to people who are already earning less or earning above average but cannot afford big medical bills.
According to the World Bank, over 75% of Nigerians are at the risk of being plunged into poverty if faced with a complex medical condition or are forced to have surgery. In 2020 Nigerians spent over $10 billion on out-of-pocket medical expenses and while medical bills are a huge expense in every person’s life, most of these people live paycheck to paycheck. This spending eats deep into household budgets and continuously causes financial instability for low and middle-income earners.
We take away the stress and burden from people who are already earning less or earning above average but cannot afford big medical bills so that they can focus on healing and recovery instead.
