Know Your Spices Malawi is here to provide access to information to Farmers, traders and consumers on how best we can develop the industry. The organization is identifying potential Farmers and establishing clubs. The idea is to be providing these farmer clubs with start up spice seeds and free extension services. These groups will be guided from production, processing, transporting to consumption. KYSM shall see to it that more clubs are developed and motivated to participate fully in promoting spice business development in the value addition chain. Potentially, these Farmers will model an idea that government and other organizations can easily adopt to upscale an agribusiness opportunity. Most importantly, KYSM analysis showed that the potential of spices as an Agribusiness opportunity is being sited with a blind eye from the National planning and budgeting despite having a capacity to promote livelihood security and social economic development.
