We are a fair trade, Black-led, and women-led brand based in Malawi’s Dzaleka Refugee Camp. At Kibebe, we provide jobs to refugee and local artisans who create unique, ethical, and eco-inclusive handcrafted products. We aim to foster a sustainable, inclusive economy with decent work for refugees while promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment. Our artisans handcraft diverse products, including sensory toys, accessories made from repurposed plastic, upcycled denim, and the first locally made menstrual lingerie line. As awareness of ethical consumption and sustainable living grows, so does the demand for products that make a positive impact. To scale our operations we are looking for partnerships with marketing strategy and product development experts, alongside vital financial support for capital expenses and artisan welfare programs.
