Kappa Maths is a mobile app helping students pass the Mathematics papers of the WASSCE (high-stakes exam required for higher education across anglophone West Africa). In Ghana, only 62.23% pass Core Maths—WASSCE’s toughest core subject. Kappa Maths provides affordable, self-paced, syllabus-aligned content for both Core and Elective Maths. Students get organized access to past questions, expert video tutorials, and weekly live sessions. The app is accessible via smartphones—used by over 90% of internet users in the region—and costs far less than tutors or remedial schools. With over 448,000 candidates in Ghana alone and many retaking at high cost, the need is clear. Our vision: expand to other subjects, support underserved students, and create tools for teachers and peer mentors. Kappa Maths makes quality maths education accessible, local, and mobile.
