Africa imports more than 75% of its medicines and in Rwanda, that figure exceeds 90%, draining hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of jobs from the continent every year. Irebe Biotech was built to change that. Founded in 2021 and led by a team of pharmacists and scientists, we are Rwanda’s first GMP-aligned medicines, medicated cosmetics and health product manufacturer already profitable, already at scale. In just four years, we bootstrapped over USD 500,000 in internal capital, brought 12 products to market, built a network of 22 distributors including national leaders BUFMAR and MEDIASOL, sold more than 300,000 units, and generated USD 696,000 in revenue reaching break-even in 2025 without a single dollar of institutional funding. The Government of Rwanda has allocated us land at the Muhanga Industrial Zone to build our next facility. We are now raising USD 2 million to construct a state-of-the-art medium-scale manufacturing plant that will produce 49 additional product li
