Ifarm360 is guaranteeing market access for fresh produce in Kenya through a network of youth-centered aggregation/fulfillment hubs located within farming communities, enabling bulking-up of produce from fragmented smallholder farms to supply the demand of large buyers. We operate a B2B model with an ecommerce website and a technology enabled distribution system. Nearly 40% of food produced by farmers in Africa are lost post-harvest, due to poor market access and inefficiencies of the supply chain. We are here to change that.
Over the past 3 months, we have achieved the following:
– 3 produce hubs
– 2-value chains (potato and onions)
– 15 wholesale customers
– 5 youth merchants
– 100 tons of produce sold
– 100% revenue growth month-over-month
– piloting a youth-powered distribution model where any youth can join our network and immediately get produce for onward selling or value addition (piloting in Nairobi)
