Caroline Kamya – Trained at the BBC and HBO, Caroline Kamya was the first Ugandan woman to make a feature film. Multi-award winning British-Ugandan entrepreneur and filmmaker. Based in Kampala and Amsterdam.
Founded iVAD Ltd in Kampala in 2004 – now CEEKAY Films, with an Amsterdam sister office. CEEKAY Films was shortlisted for the Netherlands African Business Council Doing Business In Africa Award 2021.
iamnativ is the next stage of her vision to build opportunities for African talent.
It will be followed by a new film studio in Kampala providing production, workshop and training spaces and home to the nativ Academy.
