The 2021 Global Findex Report shows that Nigerian women with formal financial accounts have risen to over 40%, the highest in a decade, yet millions still lack financial access. This restricts women’s ability to build a financial history, access credit, and make decisions about their careers, health, and families. Herconomy is solving this through a digital platform offering high-yield savings accounts (up to 15% interest), financial literacy programs, and a supportive community where women can learn, save, and grow. We’ve achieved over 77,000 users who’ve saved more than ₦3 billion and received funding from Google, Oui Capital and Octerra Capital. We were recently nominated for an award from the Central Bank of Nigeria for Financial Inclusion. We’re now raising $2M to expand, obtain our Microfinance Banking licence, and continue empowering women financially. Join us.
