I grew up in a village of Ethiopia where I witnessed firsthand the fatigues of our fathers faced when threshing maize. They relied on manual labor, using their hands, sticks, and oxen. Those processes are labor intensive, inefficient, time-consuming, and can cause nerve damage on their hands. On top of that, there have been several occasions when sudden rains have led to complete crop losses. Those factors and others may lead a full family to lose their entire yearly income, which forces them into poverty and driving them to flee to cities.
Due to those mentioned problems, I was deeply concerned for a long time about how to resolve and reach out intensively. Today, I developed a simple to operate and easily portable motorized maize Sheller machine. The machine undergoes a field test and can thresh 35 to 40 quintals within an hour. The machine has unique feature of grain damage free thresh, easily portable, affordable, give rental services and sold by interest-based subscriptions.
