GW Legacy Farms Sustaining the soybeans value chain in Ghana

We have identified a low supply of soybeans to the local processing factories and this is due to the low production of soybeans by farmers. There are soybeans processing factories that collapsed due to the fact that, they were not getting the needed soybeans for their production, other processing factories are producing below capacity and others have to import soybeans to be able to meet their production needs.

It is in this light we have identified smallholder farmers to train them, support them with tractor service and certified seed and at the end of the production, the farmers pay us with a 100kg of soybeans per acre and we buy the remaining of the farmers soybeans and sell to our clients, the local processing factories.

In sustaining the soybeans value chain in Ghana, we buy our seed from the local seed producers, distribute the seed to the smallholder farmers and at the end of harvest, we retrieve our investment and buy from the farmers and sell to the local factories.
