It is common knowledge that the shift to carbon-free energy is imperative, and this will require some form of power storage as an integral part of the new energy supply infrastructure.
It is equally common knowledge that Pumped Hydro (PHS) is the Gold Standard for energy and power storage with over 160GW currently in use.
But PHS has a number of, sometimes, fatal siting and permitting issues e.g. needs a mountain and/or access to lakes or rivers.
Because of its architecture, Gravity Power’s “Pumped Hydro Anywhere” project bypasses many of the constraints which beset conventional PHS. We will be able to offer similar capacities as PHS almost anywhere they are needed. Much quicker permitting and construction times, lower cost and higher efficiencies.
