Global Empowers limited Lightening change

Global Empowers is a purpose driven social enterprise that exists to uplift and free people to empower each other. Global Empowers through the Water Does Matter project (WDM), is taking advantage of the impacts of climate change to improve rural communities’ health and living standards across Zambia and Sub-Saharan Africa by installing smart solar powered water purification stations coupled with smart water management systems. The WDM water station uses readily available local raw materials to kill waterborne disease-causing bacteria. The project aims to provide clean and safe drinking water, hygiene, and sanitation education to 30 million people by 2030 and provide opportunities for local entrepreneurs. The WDM project helps communities reduce their carbon emissions and deforestation initiatives by saving over 58,000 tons per year of carbon dioxide.
