In Africa and especially Nigeria – Food insecurity is a big issue, about a third of the population are hungry with another 60% spending over 90% of their earnings on food – there is also so much food waste which could potentially feed the hungry population! We understand all this dynamics and created a system to curb the differences and reduce waste through our food vending system where people can buy and sell food; but also donate food to charitable causes.
Our model is a B2C model fused with charity to enable restaurants send food to children, mothers and the poor and encourage individuals sponsor the delivery.
We charge a 8% commission on every food sale and 1% commission of food delivery to charity. We also support farmers by buying directly from them and selling to end user – giving the farmers opportunity to earn additional margins of more than 15%, compared to when they sell to aggregators.
