Flame Machinery is tackling Ethiopia’s deforestation and energy crisis by building machines that turn agricultural waste like sawdust and coffee husks into clean-burning charcoal briquettes.

Today, most households and small businesses in Ethiopia still rely on firewood and traditional charcoal, contributing to rapid deforestation and rising energy costs. At the same time, large volumes of biomass waste go unused.

We currently import briquette machines from China and act as agents for local distribution. Demand is growing fast — but importing is expensive, slow, and unsustainable.

That’s why we’re launching Ethiopia’s first local manufacturing facility for briquette machines. With $200,000 in funding, we will build a factory, buy equipment, and create local jobs to scale production and meet the rising demand across East Africa.

With over 77,000 followers on TikTok (@flame_machinery), we’ve built an audience of people hungry for sustainable energy solutions. Now we’re ready
