Farmbox Microinsurance Limited Micro-insurance for the forgotten consumer

We have built a microinsurance solution for low-income consumers. These consumers are economically active but have been left out by traditional insurance players due to the cost of serving them. Technology has made it cheaper and efficient to serve these customer segments, including access to medicine at pharmacies within their locations or delivery to their homes.

As an insurtech platform, we have successfully fused 5 unlikely verticals into one application across disease diagnosis, treatment, logistics, e-commerce, and technology.
We have built a USSD application *284*89# from which a user can self-onboard, buy a policy using mobile money and file a claim. The clinic or pharmacy uses the same USSD Code to verify the claim and we make an instant payment to the partner’s wallet via mobile money.
