In Burkina Faso, access to reliable, affordable irrigation remains a major challenge for small-scale farmers, who are often dependent on expensive, low-durability motor-driven fuel pumps. The high cost of fuel and poor durability of this equipment limit agricultural productivity and hinder economic empowerment in rural areas. The Easy Water project aims to democratize access to solar irrigation for small-scale farmers in Burkina Faso by offering them reliable, affordable solar pumping systems tailored to their needs and financial capabilities.
