Excelsa Forestry Renewables Ghana Limited Ghana has lost over 500,000 hectares of its cocoa farms to swollen shoot virus disease posing a major threat to the country’s cocoa production. Annual harvesting of ON and OFF reserves plantations in Ghana have left behind thousands of hectares needing coppice management. Our company is therefore into cocoa swollen shoot virus disease eradication and productivity enhancement services and carbon sink development through plantation coppice management. Over five years we have rehabilitated over 740 hectares of local cocoa farms bring back smiles and their livelihood to them in the Bodi District of Ghana. We have also treated area of over 150 hectares in the Jasikan Forest District under coppice management and seeking to do more through a special arrangement with the forestry commission of Ghana.
