Accessing Justice Affordably through Legal Assurance.
Problem:
1. Cost of legal representation is very expensive.
2. Provision of legal aid service (Pro-bono) is very limited.
Solution:
We provide legal representation affordably to Tanzanians who have been left behind in accessing justice.
Not too poor enough to access pro-bono legal service and not too rich enough to hire a private advocate.
Impact:
We measure impact through the number of members who join legal assurance service and number of justice problems resolved. From 2017 to date, ESS Creative and Legal Foundation have helped 40,000 persons to access justice in Tanzania. Our legal education events have attracted over 1000 participants.
We have more 1,000 registered members under our legal assurance scheme and much more is in our future.
Legal Assurance aims at solving 300,000 justice problems by 2025 and to provide 1000 youth employment.
