The business has the two founding members, Elsa Barnard ( female, 92% stakeholder ) who has a background in textile design. Studied Munich design school Germany. Previously worked at Barkor Industries for 26 years before starting Elsa Barnard Mohair Carpets.
Selina Radebe ( female, 8% stakeholder ), production manager for the factory. Previously also worked at Barkor Industries for 12 years. Her experience is in spinning, dying and weaving. Selina runs the factory production and staff in Dimbaza, Elsa oversees the design and marketing.
Currently incorporating 2 additional female shareholders. Katrina Nel, ( fashion & textile design degree NMU )and myself who worked in the floor covering industry in London and South Africa for the last 16 years. Business degree in marketing and human resource- Stellenbosch uni.
