Founded in Amsterdam by Jack Stroeken and Marjolein de Vlaam, Ekomenu is a foodbox scheme focusing on healthy menus for the conscious consumer and consumers with specific needs, including vegetarian, vegan, low carb, gluten free, lactose free, pregnancy, diabetes, weight loss, protein rich and other diets. Founded in 2016, the startup delivers a personalised meal kit which comprises 20-30-minute recipes and fresh 100% organic ingredients via home delivery in the Netherlands and Belgium and via digital services & health programs. Major impact is created on Co2 emission (-40%), healthy living (-22% risk on chronic diseases), biodiversity and animal wellfare.
