EFICK was born of a simple observation: in the DRC, school uniforms are compulsory, but they are often expensive, poorly adapted and sometimes imported, whereas we have the potential to produce them locally. At the same time, many young people, women and people living with disabilities have difficulty accessing vocational training and stable employment. EFICK aims to respond to both these realities. We produce quality school uniforms (white shirts and navy-blue pants or skirts) while training young people in the sewing trades. Our aim is not just to sell uniforms, but to create real opportunities: we want to set up a structured workshop where beneficiaries learn, produce and gain real work experience.
