EcoFarm is a greenfield agriculture project growing organic food crops and sugar cane in a remote area in Mozambique. It follows strict Environmental, Social and Governance to create an agricultural loop which includes its own and outgrower production to supply regional protein based crops as well as produce high quality organic sugar for export. Currently 533 small farmers grow legumes and organic sugar cane under irrigation and an additional 350 are scheduled to be added. The outgrowers are in need of working capital finance to assist with the establishment of the first crop. The business is the largest producer of legume crops under irrigation in the province of Sofala, and provides both regional protein independence as well as income from organic sugar cane sales. EcoFarm is set up to be fully carbon neutral and adheres to the highest ESG standards.
