The LEHA INNOV project Droneclean is to develop autonomous drones designed to detect, clean, and maintain solar panels in regions where dust and sandstorms significantly reduce energy efficiency. Our solution combines advanced drone technology, computer vision, and precision spraying to ensure solar panels remain clean without damaging them.

Unlike traditional manual cleaning, which is costly, time-consuming, and water-intensive, DroneClean offers a sustainable, low-cost, and scalable approach. With the rapid growth of solar energy projects across Africa and beyond, our service addresses a critical pain point in renewable energy operations: maximizing efficiency and return on investment.

We are currently developing and testing our prototype with partnerships in Niger and across the Sahel. DroneClean’s technology has the potential to transform renewable energy maintenance and to support the global transition to clean energy.
