In the agriculture sector, smallholder farmers are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change, including erratic weather patterns, declining soil health, and increased pest pressures. Over the years, extreme weather events such as droughts and floods are becoming more frequent, jeopardising agricultural productivity and threatening the livelihoods of millions.

Traditional farming practices often lack the necessary data-driven insights needed to adapt while the urgent need for climate-resilient agricultural practices is clear and failure to address these challenges could lead to increased poverty and heightened food insecurity.

Dipola (Dipola) is an AI powered platform that collects and demystifies geospatial data into actionable insights in agriculture to build farmer’s climate resilience and adaptation. The project addresses the critical challenges posed by climate change, which significantly impacts agricultural productivity and livelihood.
