Cubeseed is a contract-driven virtual marketplace that facilitates agro-trade and boosts agricultural production in Africa by empowering farmers and providing investment security. Through our web and mobile applications, we deliver value to the agricultural ecosystem by utilizing technology to ensure security, transparency, and connectivity.
Over 180 million smallholder farmers make up 90% of the farming population and are responsible for 80% of the food produced. However, they are plagued by a lack of access to credit, quality inputs, and markets. These challenges have a direct impact on farmers’ income, food security, food quality, and food affordability.
As youth farmers, we have firsthand experience facing these challenges. However, we have chosen to challenge these circumstances through innovation and technology. Our goal is to connect the agricultural ecosystem and stimulate specialization in the value chain while ensuring investment security to attract and sustain investments
