A fish farmer for 3 years, I have had to undergo training in aquaculture and have carried out exchange visits on the management of fish farming on many fish farming sites both in Porto-Novo and Aguégués. As the son of a fisherman, we have noticed that over the years, the quantity of fish decreases on the bodies of water. Fishing activity, once an economic activity, has become a subsistence activity. Moreover, investments in the “Acadja” system are too risky. It is for this reason to guarantee the economic nature of this aquaculture business we have chosen high productivity infrastructures (fixed and floating cages) in a very productive aquatic environment. For 03 years I have been raising tilapia in ponds and since 2022 in fixed cages and currently I have 02 non-drainable ponds of 200 m2 and 26 fixed cages including 10 of 50 m3 each and 6 of 90 m3 each. I delivered at least 3 tonnes of tilapia per year but with the installation of fixed cages by the end of June 2023
