City gardens was setup in mid 2020 and has just completed its first cycle of operations for the vegetables and poultry enterprise the lamb project is being advance further, breed stock is acquired, rearing ,pens constructed and the first breeding is carried out. No sales has been made and is expected to start in the third year onwards (2023).
One cycle of broiler has been successfully completed and sold from intial stock of 500 day old chicks.we also ran a 1000 layer enterprise but failed due to disease epidemic (Newcastle disease).
All this is possible through our leadership team in place comprised of
Muhammed lamin njie as farm manager.
Abdoulie njie as production and sales manager. We benefit from technical advise pro bono by our father a retired agricultural expert with qualifications of general agriculture and agricultural economics.
In addition to the above we also received support from department of livestock and national agricultural research institute(nari) .
