CIAI VERTES produces ecological charcoal, biochar fertilizers, and solar improved cookstoves from agricultural waste, while training women and youth in green entrepreneurship and providing climate finance advisory services in Benin, West Africa.

Over 75% of Beninese households burn traditional charcoal, driving deforestation and indoor air pollution. Agriculture accounts for 30% of national emissions. No integrated local solution yet combines clean energy, regenerative agriculture, green training, and climate finance in one circular value chain. Each ton of our ecological charcoal avoids 1.8 tons of CO2. Our cookstoves cut fuel use by 50%. Our biochar sequesters carbon for centuries while improving crop yields. Over 65 people trained. First revenue generated. Business model validated.

We are a majority women-led team with technical expertise, operating in an underserved market with strong demand, measurable impact, and a replicable model ready to scale across West Africa.
