Chiwenu Bulking the Zambian and other markets with high quality organic honey

Chiwenu farms is a Social Enterprise registered with PACRA Reg No. 320190005498 based in
Mwinilunga, North Western Province of Zambia and operating in the agriculture sector. The
company deals in bee keeping, primary harvesting, processing and packaging of honey and bee’s
wax. Chiwenu farms also distributes the honey and related products through retail and wholesale
markets to a ready customer base. The enterprise is operational and is currently involved in the
harvesting of organic honey and bee wax and is currently engaging 100 small scale bee keepers
that supply it with honey. With a dedicated team and number of organisations that have rendered different forms of support, the process starts with identifying families depending on charcoal burning, then recruit them on out-grower scheme and train them, giving them inputs (bee hives). Our Project Manager works with them as they set the bee hives and during the harvesting. Lastly each beekeeper is paid per kg of their harvest.
